It's insightful, straightforward, and completely honest about basic building blocks of knowledge in health and finance, the current perceptions and truths in the industries, and best practices to improve your life from day one in these areas. The author takes you through some mindset exercises first so that you are better prepared to read and absorb the content from a place of open-mindedness and willingness to make change. I immediately felt encouraged to schedule time dedicated to working out, balancing my budget, and intentionally envisioning the future. Since reading the book, I have adopted easy habits like drinking more water, eating less than I burn, and spending less than I earn and as a result, I am happier, less stressed, losing weight, and a better wife, mother, daughter, friend, teammate, employee, and boss. Though it's an introductory course on good health practices and building wealth, this is a thorough and well-written discussion on both topics. I learned a lot about how health and wealth can build through small changes. I think the exercises in the book are well thought out to point the reader in the right direction. And I appreciate that the author dispels myths, gives fresh takes on old ideas, and makes the process overall feel like a manageable (and thoroughly attainable) goal!
